Ready, Set, Hike!

With two games left and only two losses all season, the varsity football Panthers have fought hard this season to be where they are at the moment: top of the league. “My favorite moment was the opening kickoff at the first game against Los Molinas,” shared Nate Townsell (11) corner and wide receiver.

As the team prepared for their travels to Vallejo, the group looked back at the wins of this season. Greg Sabers (11) added, “My favorite moment was during the Maxwell game, at the very end when Dalin Boek got a great sack.” Their team spirit and intensity lingers on and off the field before, during, and after each exciting game or drilling practice.

At this time, Seniors Chris Kofford, Kelly Crowley, Travis Buick, Scott Hunt, and Kelly Callahan rank top in stats for the team according to MaxPreps.com, America’s source for High School sports.

Unfortunately, the season’s coming to a close and the Panthers last home game was Friday, October 17, when they came together and dominated over Maxwell High School. The game on October 30 at North Hill Christian School gave the panthers a victory due to forfeit. After traveling three hours to play, they stood around on the field waiting for referees who never showed up.The panthers will play again at Tulelake next week on November 7 at 5:30/7:30 p.m.
