| Paintball: Jarod Vance |
| On University Preparatory school's campus hobbies vary from dancers to artists, and writers to singers; the diversity is undeniable. Junior, Jarod Vance enjoys paintballing in his spare time, "Paintball is unique because there are not a lot of people in Redding that I know of that play paintball." The hobby requires more accessories that one could imagine. Jarod explains that in order to play paintball one must have a decent gun, a C02 tank, o-rings, a mask, gloves, long sleeved clothes, jeans or heavy pants, and paintballs. He belongs to a team in Eureka called E.T.C. (Eureka Tactical Crew) and on most occasions he scrimmages against his friends. | According to Jarod the rules of paintballing tend to vary depending on who you play with. His personal rules are as follows: players are eliminated after being shot once, one constantly has to be in motion, and masked at all times. One must not leave boundaries and everyone's FPS (feet per second - checked by performing a test shot) must be checked before playing. If Jarod could find a competitive league, he would definitely think about playing for a bigger team. Jarod concludes by asserting, "If anyone plays paintball here in Redding, they should get a hold of me so we can paintball once and a while." |
