LilyJane, a senior at Uprep and has been here since 6th grade. Lily is a Co-Editor of On The Prowl and loves pickles. Since then she has graced the halls of Uprep for 6 years and has been with the journalism class since sophomore year. Really who’s a cooler person? Even though her parent-given name is Lily, she doesn't care for it. Instead, like the rest of Journalism, call her LLCoolJane.
Anna is a 17 years old senior who currently attends University Preparatory School. She has been known to repeatedly poke Kevin, a former Journalism kid who does not like to be touched, but now loves hugs. Anna is the Web Admin of On the Prowl for the 2011-2012 school year. She enjoys sunshine, rainbows, and long walks on the beach.
Sara Stratte is currently a soccer playing, ski teaming senior at U-Prep. After four years in Journalism, she has earned the spot of co-editor. Unsure about her future, Sara has a wide range of goals and activities that she will surely sucseed at. Overall, Sara enjoys eating carrots and juggling.
Adrienne Hatter, or Lil Hat, is one of the many gingers at U-Prep and a returning member of the Ontheprowl staff. She is currently interested in attending Chico State, California University, San Diego State, UC Berkely UC Santa Cruz , Cal Poly, or Pepperdine. AJ is also involved in sports like track and soccer, but soccer is her clear-cut favorite. She loves the excitement of the game and “the team aspect of it.”
Tyler, or Todd is currently a Junior at U-Prep, and an active member of On The Prowl since he transferred last year. While he enjoys shopping for blueberries, his favorite activity is training his two month old monkey. Todd writes editorials while managing the sponser section of the website.
In 1996 on July 16, Brad ‘Ping Ping’ Manivong was brought into the world. Although he loves avoiding the police and staying out of trouble, Brad is truly infatuated with soccer, futbol, just as much as the next Euro-fanatic. Along with the rest of Journalism, Ping Ping does not enjoy calling Ms. Lowe by her new name, “Ms. Elliot.”
Mae Mae, was born on December 14, 1995 in his hometown Redding, California. He is currently in his sophomore year at U-Prep, but his first year in journalism. During his free time, besides avoiding stupid people, he practices soccer, plays Abduction, and most of all he loves talking to Taylor Swift, his mom.
Hufflepuff’s newest member is Griffin Trayford. Well not really, but the boy can dream. He enjoys orange umbrellas, Cocoa Colas, and cats. Griffin is senior at U-Prep and loves reporting on sports.
Emily Forseth is a freshman with a big heart who always has a smile on her face. Anyone who speaks with Emily instantly appreciates her bubbly personality and the fact she looks like Taylor Swift. She loves writing about music and horses.
Gabrielle ‘Bunny’ Avantino was born a triplet, Bunny has two twins, Ryan and Nick, as well as a little brother, Frankie. Bunny started dancing ten years ago, gracefully performing ballet, tap, and jazz. A volleyball player as well, Bunny is quite the athlete A sophomore at University Preparatory School, Bunny is now a mature high school-er, with experience in U-Prep’s realm of academia
As a second year Journalism student, Ryan Avantino has opted this year to be the class photographer, instead of filling the traditional role of reporter. Ryan is drawn to photography because, “I just like taking pictures of anything. It’s really interesting to me.”
Devon was born on May 5th, 1995. He is a 5th year runner who has an incredible passion for the sport. This is Devon’s first year on the Journalism staff and he already loves writing about interests.
Sarah Brooks is a freshman and a first year Journalism student. She enjoys playing soccer with her friends for school and the club sports. Utilizing her soccer skills she loves writing for sports and interests. Brooks loves Santa Claus and purple.
Lino Antino Lovotti was born in San Mateo, California on April 4, 1996. His Italian name is Pasqua Lino. He is fifteen years old and is a sophomore in high school at University Preparatory School. Even though he doesn’t have much free time aside from sports and academic studying, in the little free time that he does have, he enjoys playing video games and football.
Sam Klaiber, or “Ginger Snap” is a vibrant young lad who enjoys watching baseball, eating pasta, and being really sweet. He is a junior and a first year staff member of On the Prowl. One day, Sam hopes to be on a reality TV show or maybe star in a hip-hop music video.
Everybody loves soup right? Jack Westphal is a sophomore who is nick named Soup because of his warm and lovable personality. He is enjoying his first year on the Journalism staff and hopes to write about sports and news. A fun fact about Jack: he can dislocate his thumbs.
Is John Marcuz a boy or a bear? Only Journalism will truly know. This mysterious kid enjoys giving high fives, and eating honey. A Junior at U-Prep, he is a member of the Varsity football team. I guess he is a boy, not a bear.
Eli Husher enjoys reading novels, wearing flannel and playing soccer. A senior at U-Prep, Eli spent 3 months in France then returned home to join On the Prowl’s staff. If he could pick one animal to be, he would be a tiger. Eli still waits for his Hogwarts acceptance letter.
